I finally found it online today and watched it, definitely cute and really fits quite well with Up, but not my favorite of their shorts so far.

I... think it's tied with Presto. I liked Presto and the chemistry between Alec and whats his face magician, but it's the same case with Gus and Peck, so I can't really choose between the two. They really made me laugh, and I both felt bad for Alec and Gus. Also, Partly Cloudy had freaking adorable baby animals. Presto had magic trikfs

Partly Cloudy was definitely one of the more creative shorts Pixar's done and ranks as one of my favorites. I'd have to say Tin Toy and One Man Band are still my favorites, though...I'm an orchestra dork, so I really loved the crazy stringed instruments I liked the dynamic between Gus and Peck far more than that between Alec and the magician...that relationship felt more utilitarian than friendly (part of why I didn't like Presto). You could tell Gus and Peck were friends to the end, no matter what and that really warmed my heart.

I thought this was the cutest short Pixar has done, and I love the relationship between Gus and Peck.

I was wondering when I watched this short in the movie theater... Did it intentionally make references to God?

I'm seriously pondering which one I liked better: Presto or Partly Cloudy

I still like One Man Band better. Regardless I never disliked a single Pixar short film.

Partly Cloudly was really fun! And the friendship between Peck and Gus reminded me of Buzz and Woody in Toy Story. Dunno why, it just did. And, by the way, I don't envy Peck

I do love For The Birds, but Partly Cloudy was really great too.

I thought it was one of the lesser Pixar shorts. I loved the relationship between Gus and Peck, but the plot didn't really go anywhere and there wasn't that much conflict.
Like with any other Pixar short...
